About

Robin Predny is a teacher, librarian, technologist, and life coach who sees others’ gifts and empowers them to get where they want to go. She is a skilled researcher, resource gatherer, writer, and communicator. She values curiosity, creativity, questioning, problem solving, and showing up with intention.

Robin has a BA from Loyola Chicago/Rome in Communications, a Graduate Certificate from Illinois State University in School Librarianship, and an MA from Concordia Chicago in Educational Technology Leadership. She has over 25 years of experience working with students of all ages as an English, Speech, Journalism and Desktop Publishing teacher, a yearbook and newspaper moderator, a Girl Scout leader, an Art Volunteer in the Classroom, a mom-of-all-trades PTA volunteer, and a public and school librarian.

However, Robin’s most intense period of learning came from her personal life. Raising four neurodivergent children gave her an education beyond anything she could have learned in the classroom. When self-medicating and addiction became a part of her family’s life, she began researching all she could about best practices and treatments. In her research and resource gathering, she came upon BALM Family Recovery and joined their program. She is now a BALM Family Recovery certified coach. As someone living with and loving people struggling with addiction, she has learned how to find peace, compassion and stability in the midst of chaos and fear. She has learned to care for herself and for her loved ones with openness, compassion and courage.

In the midst of all of this growth, Robin also went through a divorce after 24 years of relationship and marriage. After spending 16 years as a stay-at-home mom, she had to rediscover and reinvent herself. This was an incredible time of self-discovery and growth. At its core, this meant coming back to who she was, uncovering and defining her beliefs and values, and unearthing her strengths and assets. This was not an easy, smooth or linear journey. However, just as with her other learning experiences, the work she did gave her a plethora of tools to help herself and others.

At the root of it all, Robin is called to help others heal and find their own wholeness, walking beside them as a coach, educator and advocate. It is her life’s purpose to inspire and lift others up so they can transform themselves and live their lives authentically and freely from a place of purpose, intention, and peace.
